Welcome to the RiffTrax Sync App! The RiffTrax Sync app is an audio-playing application that lets our users sync up our commentary audio content ("riffs") to their copy of a movie. This app is provided by RiffTrax and its developers at Praxis Research Labs.

The RiffTrax Sync App requires access to some personal user data, specifically:
- Email address in use on rifftrax.com
- Password in use on rifftrax.com
This information is stored temporarily in the app storage to allow for persistent account login and for accessing the User Library.
In addition, this app requires some core Android permissions. Below is a table explaining each permission and why it is required.

| android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Network connectivity is necessary to allow downloading our audio content. |
| android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE | In order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted playback, the app must remain in the foreground during listening sessions. |
| android.permission.INTERNET | Internet is required for download or purchasing content and accessing user libraries. |
| android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS | The app is capable of increasing, decreasing, or muting system audio during listening sessions. |
| android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | Content may be downloaded to, and read from, mounted storage on the device. |
| android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO | For the app to hear the movie audio in Automatic Sync mode, the microphone and audio recording capability is required |
| android.permission.VIBRATE | Vibrations are used to notify the user of errors during Sync. |
| android.permission.WAKE_LOCK | Prevents the screen from turning off so Sync can be achieved and movies can be watched. |
| android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | Content may be downloaded to, and read from, mounted storage on the device. |
| com.android.vending.BILLING | Android billing services are necessary to purchase in-app content. |
